Stranding and Cabling Machines

Equipment scope — Cable production equipment

What the Machines Do

Stranding machines twist individual wires into a compact, flexible conductor; cabling (laying-up) machines assemble insulated cores, fillers and tapes into a round cable ready for sheathing. Machine choice sets the lay length, direction and tension control that downstream extrusion depends on.

Machine Types We Configure

Double-twist bunchers for fine and automotive wire; rigid frame and cage stranders for power conductors; bow and tube stranders for high-speed cores; drum twisters for large-section cable laying-up. Configurations include pay-off stands, taping heads and binding units as required by the cable design.

Selection Notes

An inquiry needs the conductor or core construction (wire count and diameter), target lay length, reel sizes and output expectation — from these we propose the machine class, number of bobbins and drive configuration.

Equipment configuration

Turn the cable construction into a complete machine specification

Product geometry, process sequence, output target and plant conditions define the equipment class, modules and controls.

Tubular stranding equipment in production
Machine class and reel arrangement follow wire count, diameter and lay requirements.
  1. 01

    Define the cable product

Share the construction, conductor or core range, finished dimensions and process materials.

  2. 02

    Size the main machine

Confirm speed, output, lay or overlap requirements and the applicable reel specification.

  3. 03

    Complete the line interface

Align pay-off, take-up, inspection, controls, utilities and available factory layout.

  4. 04

    Set the acceptance plan

Agree on the sample product, measured items, trial duration and production records.

Application & process

Configure around the finished cable

Applications identify the product scope. Configuration inputs turn that scope into machine size, modules, controls and acceptance criteria.
