Overview

HZD2820-G is a 150°C halogen-free cable compound with a reinforced flame-retardant package (oxygen index 42 typical), colorable, built on a polyolefin base with inorganic flame retardants, antioxidants and lubricants. It serves electronic equipment wire and metro cable insulation where both sustained heat and fire safety matter.

Used as both insulation and jacket in a properly designed construction, cable made from HZD2820-G passes the UL VW-1 vertical flame test, with thermal aging verified at 180°C × 168 h.

Packaging & Storage

Supplied in aluminum-plastic bags with kraft paper lining, 25 kg net per bag. Store in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse.

Processing recommendations

  1. 01Recommended equipment: φ45–150 single-screw extruder, L/D ≥ 20, screen pack 20/80/20 mesh
  2. 02A dedicated halogen-free screw with compression ratio below 2.5 improves output and surface quality
  3. 03Temperature profile: feed 110°C / transport 125°C / melting 140°C / die 140–150°C — trim die temperature to wire surface finish
  4. 04Irradiation dose: 60–100 kGy (6–10 Mrad)
