Overview
Sinosun™ EM6098A-SL is a 150°C halogen-free flame-retardant cable compound, colorable, built on a polyolefin base with inorganic flame retardants, antioxidants and lubricants, internally mixed, plasticized and pelletized. It combines outstanding oil resistance and scrape-abrasion resistance with strong mechanicals and tear strength, and passes the single-wire vertical flame test.
The grade is engineered for the internal high-voltage cable of electric vehicles and for thin-wall automotive wire up to 6 mm², meeting the requirements of ISO 6722-1:2011 and QC/T 1037-2016 — including 175°C × 240 h aging with no cracking or conductor exposure, 200°C thermal shock, fluid resistance and 7 N scrape abrasion.
Packaging & Storage
Supplied in moisture-proof double-layer bags, 25 kg net per bag. Store in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse.

Process notes
Processing Recommendations
- —Recommended equipment: φ45–150 single-screw extruder, L/D ≥ 20, screen pack 20/80/20 mesh; a halogen-free screw with compression ratio below 3.5 runs faster and cleaner
- —Temperature profile: feed 160°C / transport 165°C / melting 170°C / die 170–180°C — trim die temperature to wire surface finish
- —Irradiation dose: 6–10 Mrad — never exceed 10 Mrad
- —Preheat the copper conductor before extrusion; skipping preheat collapses elongation at break
