125CUL 224Flame-retardantUL / CSA heat-shrink

Overview

HZD1610 is an irradiation cross-linked, flame-retardant heat-shrink tubing masterbatch rated at 125°C. It is compounded from a polyolefin base resin with flame retardants, antioxidants and lubricants, then melt-mixed, plasticized and pelletized. The grade is designed for UL and CSA style heat-shrink tubing: finished tubes meet UL 224 and are used for cable joints, pipe connections, insulation of electronic components and bundling of stranded wires.

HZD1610 combines good mechanical performance with easy processing on standard tube extrusion equipment, at a highly competitive cost-performance ratio.

Packaging & Storage

Grade qualification

Validate the grade against the cable, process and target standard

Published properties establish the review baseline. Cable construction, processing conditions and a line trial complete the grade decision.

White cable compound pellets inspected by hand
Representative pellet inspection before extrusion and finished-product validation.
  1. 01

    Define the duty profile

Confirm cable construction, operating temperature, flame class and environmental requirements.

  2. 02

    Review the published data

Match requirements, typical values and test methods to the finished-cable target.

  3. 03

    Run a controlled line trial

Set drying, temperature, screw and irradiation conditions from the grade processing card.

  4. 04

    Approve the production window

Record surface, dimensions, mechanical results and finished-cable tests before volume production.
