Aramid Yarn and Binding Tape
Aramid reinforcement yarn and binding tapes providing tensile strength members and core protection for cable and optical cable.

Material / equipment — Cable auxiliary material
Function
Aramid yarn carries the tensile load of a cable — in optical cable it is the primary strength member protecting the fibers from strain during installation and service. Binding tapes hold the assembled core together and act as separator layers between core and sheath.
Supply Options
Aramid yarn in standard deniers for strength-member and ripcord use; binding and separator tapes in non-woven, PET and specialty materials, slit to width. Send the cable design and required tensile rating for a denier and layup recommendation.
